Ayahuasca and Wicca - a return to Indigenous Faith.

We are a group who started out as a simple Wiccan church, but we were transformed by our experiences of the Divine and awakened by the path we now walk. We were given the blessings of the sacred medicine Ayahuasca, through whom we discovered the very essence of the Goddess. Through the plant teachers we rediscovered our connection to the divine, our shamanic roots and a deeper connection to our past history and traditions. Wicca is a religion based upon shamanic principles; it is a path of healing and spiritual growth. Ayahuasca is the medicine that is returning Wicca to its shamanic roots. A witch is one who follows the old ways, allowing the practitioner's spirit to return to its indigenous roots. A Witch is a shaman and healer who travels between the worlds and walks a path of empowerment and responsibility. Ayahuasca, or Aya, is the sacrament the God and Goddess has given us so that we may realize our potential to live in peace, love and power.

We are a community of individuals building a family of like minded people. We are seeking to live a life in balance with ourselves, the planet, and the Divine. We seek to attain a state of enlightenment and walk a path of spiritual growth and harmony. We have found no path equal to PaDeva in this regard. Practitioners of our faith follow a path of Gnosis, or knowledge from within the self. PaDeva does not recognize a vicarious spirituality or salvation, but teaches instead that spiritual knowledge, personal growth, and beliefs must come from within us.

Our beliefs, the tools with which we navigate spirit, originate in pagan and shamanic traditions, but they are not a static repetition of what was done before. Instead, ours is a living practice, a search for our own connection to the Indigenous Soul of the Planet. We have found that the rituals and traditions of Wicca are an effective catalyst to beginning the journey within. Wicca provides tools for learning balance within the self and with nature, and these are the foundations of developing a personal spiritual path.

"In this very breath that we take now lies the secret that all great teachers try to tell us." (Matthiessen)

We are a mystery school, seeking to touch and know for ourselves the wonders of our existence and the presence of our Gods.

These experiences are expressed in how we strive to give to the community and care for one another. Ours is a practice that pushes us beyond our comfort zone, testing our limits and allowing us to grow. We have found this path to be a healing process for ourselves and, it is our hope, the world.

Ayahuasca is a tea made from a combination of healing plants from South America. This visionary, entheogenic tea is the sacrament of our church. Modern religion has lost contact with its shamanic roots. Modern paganism has been subject to the influence of monotheistic theology where a sacred text and spiritual leader act as a placebo for ones own spiritual experience. True spirituality is a process whereby we explore for ourselves the mysteries of life and death. Our ability to do this is extremely limited so long as our everyday consciousness and ego are engaged. Ayahuasca is the sacred medicine given to us by the God and Goddess for the healing of our mind and body. Ayahuasca is the medicine, the sacrament that the Gods have given us to allow us to be in direct contact with them. Ayahuasca allows us to remember who we really are, and it is the path to divine revelation.

Ayahuasca is the road we walk, Wicca is the foundation of our faith, and shamanism equips us with the tools to live an empowered spiritual life.

Our Wiccan practices were incomplete until the Gods showed us our path, the path of Ayahuasca. It is through this sacred tea we are able to have a Gnostic, meaningful spiritual faith. Our faith isn't given or forced upon us, it is something we choose.

The pagan religions are an attempt by Western culture to return to our indigenous past and restore our connections to the Earth and one another.
